Two Deer at Sunset 

Two deer moved though a shimmering field

floating effortlessly through waves of grass, 

in a sepia sea.

They disappeared into shafts of light

from the setting sun,

briefly appearing once again,

their heads lit with halos,

 like two shining angels

ready for flight.
